Government General Hospital
Kurnool Medical College (KMC) & Government General Hospital (GGH) are located in Kurnool and were established in 1956. It serves the people of Rayalseema in the state of Andhra Pradesh, part of Telangana and Karnataka regions, catering to the health needs of a population of around 20,000,000. It is one of the oldest medical colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It started with 50 MBBS seats and now has 250 seats. It is an institution established for teaching, research and patient care in the area of health. It spreads over 100 acres and has a 1,500 bed facility. The institution houses 1 administrative block, 3 medical college blocks, 1 nursing college, 15 hospital blocks, 3 accessory service buildings and 6 residential complexes. All types of medical, nursing and allied health science courses, covering all disciplines, are delivered on site.
